Please help me to increase awareness of one particular charity – Batten Disease Family Association. Batten Disease is a group of neurodegenerative genetic diseases occurring in childhood and is the main paediatric neurodegenerative disorder in the UK. A good friend, Ellen Bletsoe, is personally affected by this dreadful disease inasmuch as her daughter was diagnosed with Batten Disease in 2009 at just 9 years old.
