Here at Lake View Osteopathy we treat a number of triathlon injuries and running injuries.

Although triathletes and runners are obviously healthy, they do suffer with a number of injuries either through falls due to uneven ground, but more commonly due to poor body mechanics.

Alleviate the pain and then stop it from returning!

I work to ensure they move more efficiently – this not only helps the athlete to heal, but also enhances their technique. It then usually takes analysis of running style to target specific areas of muscle training and rehabilitation to stop inefficient biomechanics in their tracks. This not only helps to solve the issue but also prevents it from reoccurring in the future.

Running Workshop – prevention

I recently hosted a running workshop to help my running patients improve their techniques and training programme.

We are listed under ‘runners rescue’ for Biggleswade Athletic Club

Sponsored Triathlete Gill Fullen.

Gill Fullen Triathlete Injuries

Gill came to me before her first Ironman triathlon suffering from shin splints and IT band problems causing severe leg and knee pain. Despite physio treatment, massage and exercises, these problems were stopping Gill training just at the crucial period before her big race. With regular treatments, I was able to ease Gill’s symptoms and enable her to complete her scheduled sessions. During the race itself Gill didn’t feel any pain from her usual problems at all, with the only real issue being blistered feet.
