BAFTA Injury

We dealt with our first ever BAFTA injury this week at Lake View, sadly it has halted first time Marathon runner, Anna’s, training this week. But don’t worry – we’ll get her back in action again soon!

From Anna;

“On 12th April this year I am running my first marathon. I decided to do something when a friends husband died after a short and tragic battle with cancer. This is a small part of a larger local effort that hopes to raise £100k this year to help the fight against cancer.  I am also raising money for Parkinson’s uk.”

What is a BAFTA Injury?

Well, in this case it’s a form of Achilles Tendonitis, thanks to some beautiful high heels worn for 12 hours at the BAFTAs on Sunday! But I think Anna would agree it was most definitely worth the pain…….

Now, although the heels had some part to play in the making of this injury, it also had a little something to do with a 12mile run on the Saturday before and even more to do with the speedy 4mile run the Monday after! Proving just how important those stretches are, even when you’re in a rush!

“Sadly my training has been temporarily interrupted this week following an injury sustained whilst wearing heels whilst attending the BAFTAs! Next time I’ll have to wear trainers on the red carpet!”

Don’t worry Anna – we’ll get you back out training soon!
