What is a Run Workshop?
Knowledge
Our running workshops consist of both theory and practical information to provide you with a good understand of:
- how you run and what you need to do to improve your running technique by gait analysis
- what are the fundamentals of good running technique theory
- running specific strength and conditioning exercises
- running drills for strength and technique
- the common mistakes of writing / following a training plan
Video
Your running style will be captured on video and we shall have a group discussion of what we see.
We shall discuss what is good running technique and how you can implement these into your running.
Drills
Practical sessions for running specific exercises and drills, this will include why you need to do them and how they will improve your running.
Who is it for?
This workshop is suitable for runners of all abilities, whether you are just starting off or trying to improve your speed or distance. The running drills will be conducted over short distances and so you can work at your own pace and distances. Drills are supposed to be completed over a short distance only as we are trying to perfect certain elements of technique. You may be repeating them though.
How will it help you?
This workshop will show you how you are running, running specific exercises and running drills as well as showing you how avoid the common mistakes in putting together a training program. It will very interactive but you shall be able to work at your own pace.
